Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you purchase from bbshome.co.uk. Please read them before placing an order.
Last updated: 17 August 20261. About us
These terms apply to sales by Biddulph Beds & Sofas (“BBS”, “we”, “us” or “our”) through bbshome.co.uk. Our showroom and contact address is Outclough Road, Brindley Ford, Stoke-on-Trent, ST8 7QD. You can contact us through our contact form or on 01782 903156.
2. Using the website
You must be at least 18 and legally capable of entering a contract to place an order. You are responsible for ensuring the information supplied at checkout is complete and accurate. Website use must be lawful and must not interfere with the site, accounts, security or other customers.
3. Products and measurements
We take reasonable care to present products accurately. Screen settings and photography can affect how colours and textures appear, and natural or manufactured materials may have reasonable variations. Dimensions are approximate unless expressly stated otherwise. Please check measurements, access routes, selected size, orientation, colour and other options before ordering.
Images may show accessories, room settings, bases, headboards or other items that are not included. The product description and order summary identify what is included.
4. How the contract is formed
Placing an order is an offer to buy. You will receive an acknowledgement, but acceptance occurs when we send confirmation that the order has been accepted or when we begin fulfilment, whichever happens first. We may refuse or cancel an order before acceptance because of stock or supplier availability, a pricing or description error, suspected fraud, delivery restrictions or another reasonable cause. If payment has been taken, it will be refunded.
Please review the confirmation and tell us promptly if anything is incorrect. Your WooCommerce order number should be quoted in communications.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. The total payable is shown before you place the order. Standard delivery to eligible addresses in England is currently free unless a product or service states otherwise. Optional charges will be shown before purchase.
Payment methods displayed at checkout may include card payment through WooPayments and Klarna where available. Payment providers may conduct eligibility, identity and fraud checks and apply their own terms. Klarna credit products are subject to status and are provided by Klarna, not BBS.
If an obvious pricing error could reasonably have been recognised, we may cancel the affected order and refund payment rather than supply at the incorrect price.
6. Bespoke orders and changes
A product is treated as bespoke for cancellation purposes only where it is made to your individual specification or clearly personalised—not merely because it is produced after ordering. Any bespoke status and relevant specification will be made clear before the order is placed.
Requested changes after acceptance are subject to supplier approval, availability and any additional cost. Once manufacture begins, a bespoke order may be impossible to change or cancel. See our Returns, Cancellations & Refunds Policy.
7. Delivery
We deliver only to eligible addresses in England. After ordering, the delivery team may contact you with suitable date choices once stock and supplier timing are confirmed. Dates and lead times are estimates unless we expressly agree a guaranteed date.
You must provide accurate contact and address details, ensure an adult is present, and provide safe and reasonable access. Before ordering, measure doors, hallways, stairs, lifts and the intended room. We are not responsible for removing windows, doors, fixtures or existing furniture unless a specific service has been agreed.
Risk in the goods passes to you when delivered to you or a person you nominate. Ownership passes once we receive payment in full. Full details appear in our Delivery Information.
8. Delays and events outside our control
Supplier, manufacturing and courier delays can occasionally occur. We will provide available updates and take reasonable steps to minimise disruption. We are not responsible for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, but your legal rights—including rights where delivery is substantially delayed—remain unaffected.
9. Inspection, faults and damage
Please inspect goods as soon as reasonably possible. If something is missing, damaged, faulty or incorrect, contact us promptly and keep the packaging. Photographs are helpful. Reporting visible transit damage quickly assists our courier claim but does not remove your statutory rights.
10. Cancellation and returns
Online customers normally have a 14-day cancellation period for standard goods, subject to legal exceptions including genuinely bespoke/personalised goods and certain unsealed hygiene-sensitive goods. The detailed procedure, return costs and refund timing are in our Returns, Cancellations & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Our responsibility
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your non-excludable consumer rights.
Products are supplied for domestic and private use. If you use them for commercial purposes, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, opportunity or business interruption, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Personal information
We use personal information as explained in our Privacy Policy. Order information may be shared with payment providers, suppliers, couriers and the A50 Beds delivery-management application where necessary to fulfil and manage your order.
13. Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter. Explain the issue, provide your order number and tell us the outcome you are seeking. Nothing in this process prevents you obtaining independent advice or exercising your legal rights.
14. General terms
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining terms continue. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. We may transfer our rights and obligations where this does not reduce your protections; you may transfer yours only with our written agreement or where the law allows.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers living in England may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. Any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you remain in force.
