How Biddulph Beds & Sofas collects, uses and protects your personal information when you browse, contact us or place an order.
Last updated: 17 August 20261. Who we are
Biddulph Beds & Sofas (“BBS”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the controller of personal information collected through bbshome.co.uk and through our showroom. You can contact us through the website contact form, by telephone on 01782 903156, or by post or in person at Outclough Road, Brindley Ford, Stoke-on-Trent, ST8 7QD.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use our services, we may collect:
- your name, billing and delivery addresses, email address and telephone number;
- order details, selected products, sizes, colours, delivery notes, order status, returns and customer-service history;
- payment status and transaction references supplied by our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card number;

- messages, enquiries, photographs of faults or damage and records of communications;
- technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, security logs, cookies and website activity; and

4. Who we share information with
We share only what is reasonably necessary with trusted providers, including:
- WooCommerce and website hosting, security, form and email providers;
- payment providers offered at checkout, including WooPayments and Klarna where available;
- our suppliers, couriers and delivery partners;
- the A50 Beds delivery-management application used to coordinate orders and delivery dates;
- professional advisers, insurers, accountants and IT support; and
- police, regulators, courts or other authorities where required by law.
These organisations may act as processors following our instructions or as separate controllers under their own privacy notices. We do not sell or rent customer data.
5. Delivery coordination
After an order is placed, relevant customer, address, product, payment-status and order information may be sent securely to the A50 Beds delivery-management application and to the appropriate supplier or courier. This allows the team to contact you with delivery-date choices, schedule delivery, record order updates and provide tracking information.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for functions such as the basket, checkout, account login, fraud prevention and security. With your permission, we may also use analytics, advertising or embedded-service cookies. You can change non-essential cookie choices through the cookie-preferences control. Read our Cookie Policy for more information.
7. How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected. Order, invoice and payment records are generally kept for up to six years after the transaction or longer where law or an active dispute requires it. Enquiries that do not lead to an order are normally deleted or anonymised within 24 months. Customer-account information is kept while the account remains open and then for a proportionate period. Security logs and backups are retained on limited, rotating schedules.
8. International transfers
Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we require a recognised legal safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us to provide a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or transfer information you supplied. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. These rights can have legal exceptions.
Use our contact form, call us or write to the address above to make a request. We may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
10. Security
We use appropriate organisational and technical safeguards, including access controls, website security tools, encrypted connections and limited staff access. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, but we review our safeguards and respond to suspected incidents.
11. Children
Our shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children for online purchases.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this notice when our services, providers or legal duties change. The latest version and revision date will always appear on this page.
